Cosmetic Dentistry
Simply Results Dentistry offers clear dental braces as one of their orthodontic treatment options. These clear braces are made of a transparent material, making them less noticeable compared to traditional metal braces. They are also removable, making it easier to maintain good oral hygiene during treatment.
Dentures
Dentures are a removable dental appliance used to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissue. They are custom-made to fit your mouth and can be made to replace a few missing teeth or a full set of teeth.
At Simply Results Dentistry, we offer both partial and complete dentures to meet the individual needs of our patients. Doctor Jaime Hernandez will work with you to determine the best type of denture for your specific situation.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain in the mouth. They consist of replacement teeth attached to a gum-colored base, which is held in place by metal clasps that attach to your natural teeth. Partial dentures not only fill in the spaces created by missing teeth, but they also prevent other teeth from shifting.
Complete Dentures
Complete dentures are used when all of the natural teeth are missing. They consist of a full set of replacement teeth attached to a gum-colored base. Complete dentures can be held in place by suction or with the help of denture adhesive.
The Process of Getting Dentures
Getting dentures typically requires multiple appointments over the course of a few weeks. The process involves:
- Initial Consultation: During your first appointment, our dentists will examine your mouth and discuss your options for dentures. They will also take impressions of your mouth to create a custom mold for your dentures.
- Fitting: Once your dentures are ready, you will come in for a fitting. Our dentists will make any necessary adjustments to ensure a comfortable fit.
- Final Fitting: After any adjustments have been made, you will come in for a final fitting. Our dentists will make sure your dentures fit properly and provide instructions on how to care for them.
- Follow-Up Appointments: It is important to schedule follow-up appointments to ensure your dentures continue to fit properly and to address any issues that may arise.
Caring for Your Dentures
Proper care and maintenance of your dentures is essential for their longevity and your oral health.
Here are some tips for caring for your dentures:
- Remove and rinse your dentures after eating to remove any food particles.
- Brush your dentures daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and denture cleaner.
- Soak your dentures in a denture cleaning solution overnight.
- Rinse your dentures before putting them back in your mouth.
- Handle your dentures with care.
- Visit your dentist regularly for check-ups and adjustments to your dentures.
Invisalign
Invisalign® is a modern alternative to straighten your teeth without wires or metal. Invisalign® involves a series of custom trays designed specifically for you and the plan your dentist or orthodontist creates to move your teeth.
